Tanzaroo Community Library Project aims to establish public libraries in Tanzanian villages. These libraries will provide village locals of all ages with access to books, newspapers, and the internet for the purposes of recreational reading, homework, study, research and development of literacy skills. The libraries will also be used as venues for meetings, gatherings and workshops.

Tanzaroo will work in partnership with Green Village = Green Future to establish the libraries, and will utilise the help of village locals and volunteers.  The libraries will be consistent with the "Green" philosophy of our partner, as they will:

- be constructed using green architectural design and principlesFunding and resources will be sought through grants and public appeals held in Australia and on the Tanzaroo website via the internet.
